Quick Start Guide

Wireless Setup/ troubleshooting

You will first of all need to check that the wireless is set up on your TG582 router.  You can tell this by checking the “Wi-Fi” light on the router.  Different coloured lights indicate different types of configuration on the router.  These are:

  • Green Light – Wireless is enabled using a WPA-PSK Encryption Type
  • Amber Light – Wireless is enabled using a WEP Encryption Type
  • Red Light – Wireless is enabled using No Encryption (Anyone within range can access your broadband)
  • No Light – Wireless is disabled

If Wireless is disabled, or you want to change the encryption type, please click here (Link to router/modem manual configuration guide) to follow the setup guide which will allow you to amend the routers wireless settings.

If the router is broadcasting a wireless network as per your requirements, please follow the below relevant checks for your operating system to assist you with configuring your wireless network.
