Telecoms and Broadband

Telecoms Offer

£50 credit will be applied to your Unicom account when you agree a new contract for Broadband from Unicom before 30th September 2022. Credit will be applied to the next bill after the Broadband service has gone live. Credit can only be used against your Unicom account and is not available as cash. Products quoted but not purchased before the 30th September 2022 will not be eligible for the credit. The Unicom broadband credit offer can only be claimed once per Unicom account.

Call bundle

Pricing and terms for each call bundle can be viewed on the Charges Schedule. Call bundles subject to availability based on your existing service. Fair use policy applies. Excludes line rental, seat rental and any other network services, which are charged in addition. Calls capped for the first hour of the call, after which calls are charged at the pence per minute rate detailed on the Charges Schedule. Excludes calls to Lyca mobiles, which are charged at FW7 (please refer to Charges Schedule). All Prices plus VAT charged at the applicable rate and are charged monthly in advance, unless stated otherwise. Minimum period of 1 month and non-refundable.

If you’re offered a better deal within 30 days of transferring to Unicom, just send us the full details by email to info@switchingon.com and we’ll BEAT that price or allow you to cancel without charge. You’ll just need to pay for the services provided during your time with us. Applies to line rental, UK call services, broadband and fibre. Competitor’s offer must include prices for all call types, any applicable call set up or minimum call charges, line rental and all other services, and must be for business services in the UK.

Download speeds/Upload speeds

Based on 10% of our customers on the network achieving this speed or faster. The actual speed you will receive is subject to line distance from the exchange, or the principal connection point for fibre, to your premises and line quality. Speeds vary significantly by location. External factors e.g. internet congestion and premises wiring also significantly affect speed. Fibre is subject to exchange availability.

Unlimited Broadband Downloads

Unicom operates a fair usage policy for its Unlimited Broadband and Fibre. You will incur no additional charge or suspension of service as a consequence of exceeding any usage threshold. If Unicom believe that your use of the service is adversely affecting the network (or any part of it) or other customers, then Unicom may moderately regulate your usage.

Router Included

If you terminate your contract with Unicom and you have taken a router, you will be charged £50 unless the router is returned within 14 days of termination and at your own cost, in good condition and suitable packaging. All prices exclude VAT, which is charged at the applicable rate.

Early Termination Charge (ETC)

Applies to Landline and Broadband customers only. There is a maximum of one payment to the bank account, details of which we hold for you, of up to £300 in total per customer. To qualify for this offer, you must send Unicom a copy of the invoice from your previous supplier that shows the value of the ETC and the date of the invoice, which must be after the date on which Unicom placed an order to transfer your services to Unicom. Unicom may require a copy of your existing contract to validate you are being correctly charged an ETC. If the contract between you and Unicom is terminated during the Minimum Period (as defined in your terms and conditions), you must repay all ETC amounts paid by Unicom in full. The amount we will pay is the lower of (1) your ETC and (2) £300.

Line Assurance

Charges will be incurred after initial 2 month free trial. Charges thereafter are monthly in advance, minimum period of one month and non-refundable. If you choose to remove Line Assurance at any point (whether during the free trial or otherwise), and subsequently request to add it back, your charges and cover will begin from the start of the month following that request. Applies to all services on the line. Line Assurance can be cancelled at any time by calling us on 0161 946 4444. You must be able to provide access to the affected site at the time of the scheduled appointment and must complete any equipment checks we request prior to the appointment being made. Financial Services

Inspire Payments offer

Credit will be applied to the next bill after your contract with Inspire Payment has started. Credit can only be used against your Unicom account and is not available as cash. The Inspire Payments credit offer can only be claimed once per Unicom account. If you end your contract with Inspire Payments before the end of your initial minimum term as defined in your contract with Inspire Payments, or you stop using your card machine, you will be required to pay back the £50 credit to your Unicom account.
